We pride ourselves in supporting our local butchers, grocers and craft beer brewers, serving up the very best Norfolk has to offer. About Us

Established in 2011, Hamptons acquired new owners in the Autumn of 2018 in the form of resident chefs Nicci and Sarah, who have put their own unique stamp on the restaurant with a revamped menu and new stock in the shop.

Situated outside the village of Bawdswell in the leafy Norfolk countryside, Hamptons@thebarn offers freshly cooked food with a high level of service. Our beautiful converted barn offers a fifty-seater restaurant with an adjoining terraced area of al fresco dining during the Summer and on-site parking.

We cater for breakfast, lunches and afternoon teas with bespoke evening dining on Friday nights. On Sundays we offer a popular range of roast dinners, slow cooked in our vintage AGA, although booking is advisable.

The little sandwiches were delicious, as were the cheese straws, cheese scones and sausage rolls. Then to follow with scrumptious cakes, scones, cream and jam all with very hot breakfast tea. A great way to spend an afternoon and a little shopping in their beautiful shop after.

First visit and was very impressed . Smart polite staff. Excellent atmosphere and clean tables. Cappuccino was one of the best anywhere and the breakfast was delicious served on hot plates. Prices were good and affordable. In all a lovely restaurant and a place I shall make a regular stop off.
